Welcome to TrialPath. Use this quick reference to guide your practice, and make changes as needed based on how you or your site will use TrialPath. We recommend you work through the steps in order, because each step sets the stage for a later action. Under Steps you’ll find tips and simple instructions.
Important! You will be working in a sandbox environment. Do not enter any PHI.

Login to TrialPath

Go to app.signalpath.com and click Login, or follow your organization’s instructions for single sign on (SSO).
At the top right, select your organization’s sandbox.
Click the drop down arrow at the upper left to select other Site CTMS applications.
In the top navigation bar, hover over Studies, Patients, Tasks or Documents to quickly access related information.
At the top right, click to open the Help Center and access a collection of searchable user guides, video tutorials and hands-on practice activities.
Create a test patient
TrialPath Snapshot (Home)
Create a new patient record and add the patient to a study.
In the top navigation bar, under Studies, select a study name and go to Participants.
Click Add Patient.
Enter first and last name, and select a date of birth.
Click Save Patient to create the record and open the patient profile.
Add your patient to a study
Patient profile
From the patient profile, go to the Studies tab.
From the study dropdown, begin typing the Study Name and select the Study from the list.
Select Screening.
Select the Study Location from the dropdown menu.
Enter the date the candidate entered screening.
Enter Subject ID. This is optional on this window, but it must be entered before completing the enrollment process.
Select a consent name. If the patient agrees to study consent, click Consented. If the patient refuses consent, click Declined. To mark a consent as waived (if available), click Waived.
Select the Consent Version and Consent Date (required). Enter any consent notes (optional).
Click Add Consent+ and repeat steps 7 and 8 for any additional consents.
Click Add Patient to Study.
Complete screening visit and activities

Click a screeningvisit tileto review visit information.
On the Activities list, click anactivity nameto mark it complete or edit completion, if needed. Enter a completion date and a provider (optional).
ClickSave & Nextto go on to the next activity or Save Activityto go back to the Activities list.
In the Visit Action Bar, clickComplete Visit.
In the Complete Visit window, click the calendar to edit thevisit completed date,then add anynotes, if needed.
If there are incomplete activities on the visit, a message displays. To complete the visit and all incomplete activities at once, clickComplete Visit & Activities. To complete only the visit, clickComplete Visit.
Continue to edit activities, if needed. Click anactivity nameto edit activity details.
Add an Adverse Event

At the top right of the participant record, click +Add.
Select Add Adverse Event.
On the slide-out window, enter adverse event details, and then click Save Adverse Event.
Schedule a visit

Schedule the next visit within the visit window.
Click an unscheduled visit tile to display details below.
On the Visit Action Bar, clickSchedule Visit.
Select adateandtime. ClickAMto toggle toPM, and vice versa.
ClickSchedule Visit.
Reschedule a visit

Your patient calls and needs to reschedule the visit to the following week.
Click a scheduled visit tile to display details below.
On the Visit Action Bar, clickReschedule Visit.
Select a newdateand/ortime(required) and enter areasonfor rescheduling (optional).
ClickReschedule Visit.
Make a decision

Before continuing to the next visit, if applicable make a decision on which arm the participant will continue on.
On the red decision tile, clickMake Decision.
Select an arm for the participant to continue on to.
ClickSave Decision. The participant visit schedule will now display additional visits.
Review eligibilityand consents
Timeline
Review each step taken so far. To edit information, click thepencil iconnext to the field.
ClickView Eligibility Criteria.
Click the+sign and selectEligible.
Select anEligibility Date, and add any (optional) notes, and clickSave Eligibility.
Enter enrollment

To complete enrollment, click the + sign next to Enrolled and click Enrolled.
Enter an Enrollment Date.
If the Subject ID has not been entered, you must enter it.
(Optional) Select the Enrolling Research Coordinator and Enrolling Investigator from the drop down lists, and enter any notes.
Click Save Enrollment.
Enter study staff

Go to theStafftab to enter active staff. Click the ellipsis to enter or edit theActive Investigator,Active Research CoordinatororActive Data Coordinator.
Return to TrialPath Snapshot (Home) to see scheduled visits
Anywhere in TrialPath
You want to return to the home page to see today’s schedule.
In the top navigation bar, clickSnapshot.
Scheduled visits display in theCarouselview. At the top left, click an icon to switch to theCalendarview orSchedulerview.
Click avisit nameto open the visit in the participant visit schedule.
Search for a patient

A study participant calls to ask when their next visit is scheduled.
UnderPatients, search for and select astudy nameto open a list of study participants.
On the list of participants,filter by nameor click thefilters iconto apply filters such as MRN or Subject ID.
Click the participantnameto open the participant profile on theVisit Scheduletab.
