Assign Startup permissions

To access Study Startup, you must have a network access role with permission to edit or view Study Startup components, as shown below:

Any one of the Startup permissions set to Edit or View will grant access to Study Startup.

Open Study Startup

To access Study Startup, in the top left dropdown list of modules, select Startup.

Study Startup opens on the Home page, with tabs for Studies, Setup and Directory.

The Home page shows a list of your network’s study milestones, target start and completion dates, and status. This provides an at-a-glance view of study startup activities and progress.

At the top left, type into the search box to find a specific milestone.
On the column headers, an arrow shows the current sort order and column.
1. To reverse the sort order, click the arrow.
2. To select a different column, click the column header.
3. To unsort the column, hover over a column to display the ellipsis (). Click the ellipsis to open a menu, and then select Unsort.
At the bottom right of the page, select the number of rows per page, see the number of items, and click arrows to navigate between pages.

Working in Study Startup: Best practices

When working in Study Startup, best practice is to start under Directory and ensure directories are up to date, then move to Setup to set up milestones, committees, and review pathways. After the directories and setup are complete, go to Studies to add review pathways to studies and track study startup progress.
